Hello! Thank you so much for taking time to visit my site! I am Courtney Pettay and am the Owner and Lead Photographer of Courtney Marie Photography, INC. Since getting my first job at Lifetouch Portrait Studios at the age of 15, I knew I was going to do something with photography. However, when I first started out, I loved nature photography but then started working with people more by taking family photos, senior photos, milestones... just pretty much anything I could get my hands on to gain knowledge of the field. Now I am honored to be given the privilege to capture one of the biggest days in a couple's lifetime--Their wedding day!!
I have been photographing weddings since Summer 2013, shortly after my first daughter was born (we now have 2 beautiful little girls and a precious little boy). A couple that I had been working with for a while doing their family, engagement and children's pictures decided to ask me to photograph their wedding...To be honest, I almost didn't do it. I mean, that is such an important job and I had no experience in that field of photography! But long story short, they finally convinced me and by the time I came home the night of their wedding, I told my husband, "This is what I'm meant to do. I am going to make something of this!" AND I DID!! I do owe a lot of my success to this couple and will always be thankful for their faith in me as it has shown me a new level of photography I am capable of!
